Helping financially challenged heart transplant recipients in Northern California into temporary recovery housing that facilitates their healing

Heartfelt Help Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public-benefit direct-service organization that helps patients and their caregiving family pay for medically-required temporary recovery housing near the hospital that is clean, safe, private, and individualized for the initial weeks or months after surgery until stable enough to return home. When insurance doesn’t cover it, and patients can’t afford it, HHF makes housing happen.

Equity and Access are what we’re about: We help under-resourced people have the same quality recovery housing in the same near-hospital location for follow-up care as others with larger resources.

“What would someone do at the height of stress over a serious medical condition?
Wilbert had a bad heart and was very sick. We asked GOD for help. Our prayers were heard. For HE sent his angels on “persona” to help us. Medical staff, doctors, surgeons from Kaiser and Stanford Hospitals who are all specialized in cardiology got involved to help Wilbert’s heart condition.
